Use

In the applications Purchasing, Sales, and Products, only categories of a particular hierarchy are allowed. For each application, you need to define which hierarchy this is. As a result, only the categories allowed for this application appear as possible values, for example, when a purchase order is created. The assignment of category hierarchy to application should not subsequently be changed.

Important
When system settings for materials and services are replicated from the ERP system, the relevant hierarchy is assigned to the corresponding application automatically. In this case, the assignment need not and should not be changed.
