Definition
This key represents a process for automatic determination of alternatives in the different organizational areas within a company.
Use
In order to select the right alternative for a specific application area, the following criteria are defined for each application:
- Priority for BOM usage
- Priority of a specific alternative for a particular material BOM
- Production version from the material master
- Checking of certain status indicators
Supplementary Documentation - CAPID 0001
Procedure
Enter the application ID for your application area. The system uses this entry to find a suitable alternative for the BOM explosion.
Dependencies
If a default applicationID is defined for the plant, this default will appear here.
Supplementary Documentation - CAPID 0002
Procedure
Enter the application ID which is to appear as a default when entering goods movements relating to a BOM.
Supplementary Documentation - CAPID 0005
Procedure
Enter the key for your application area.
Supplementary Documentation - CAPID 0080
Use
In variant configuration, the application serves mainly to control the explosion of the BOM according to usage.
The application determines which usages of a BOM can be exploded and in which order.
For a configurable material which has both a BOM with usage 1 (production) and a BOM with usage 5 (Sales and distribution), the BOM can only be exploded by production and sales departments if the configuration profile contains an application which supports both usages.
