Definition
The output side displays a selected view in variance calculation.
- In Overhead Cost Controlling, it includes all credits from activity allocations.
- In Product Cost Controlling, it includes actual credit on the basis of shipments for orders and cost object ID numbers.
The output side includes variance categories:
- Fixed-cost variance (Overhead Cost Controlling only)
- Lot size variance (Product Cost Controlling only)
- Output quantity variance (Overhead Cost Controlling only)
- Output price variance
- Remaining variance
Remaining variance is not listed by cost element, but by activity type. The total of all output side variances on the cost element does not equal the difference between target and allocated actual costs.
Use
Variances resulting from over- or under-absorption on a cost center, or from over- or under-delivery of the order quantity, appear on the output side.
Variances resulting from changes in prices, tracing factors, or consumption goods (cost elements), are shown on the input side.
Dependencies
You can use the variance variant to determine which variance categories appear in variance calculation.
