Definition

The selection means that no scrap is calculated in the planning run of long-term planning. Therefore:

• No assembly scrap is planned in the net requirements calculation
• The component scrap or the operation scrap is not planned during the BOM explosion

Use

Deactivating the scrap calculation is particularly useful for gross requirements planning as you would like to plan the pure requirements due to cost evaluation and budgeting purposes.
