Definition

If this indicator is selected, automatic cancellation of reserves for unrealized costs that have already been reported is always allowed.

Use

Do not select this indicator in the following situation:

You have posted reserves for unrealized costs using result analysis. In the following period, you reverse actual revenues or change the planning data. If you now perform results analysis with the indicator turned on, the system would calculate a smaller value for the reserves than it would if the indicator were turned off. However, you want to use the old, larger value as the reserves rather than the new, smaller value.

Procedure

Do not turn off the indicator except in exceptional circumstances.

Regardless of whether this indicator is selected, reserves for unrealized costs will be canceled automatically if any of the following apply:

  • The indicator Final RA has an entry
  • The results analysis type is Z
  • Work in process is created in a subsequent period because the actual costs are greater than the credits for goods receipts (WIP calculation) or because the actual costs are greater than the calculated cost of sales (results analysis)

Access the results analysis version in the Extended Control mode and make sure that the indicator Split creation/usage is selected.
