In this step, you can define profiles for inventory management on a value-only basis.

Standard settings

The following profiles are available:

0001 Stock is always managed on a material basis.
0002 Stock can be managed both on a material basis and on a material
group basis.
0003 Stock is always managed on a material group material basis.
0004 Stock is managed on a material group material basis.
Exceptions are possible.
0005 Stock is managed on a level 1 hierarchy material basis.
0006 Stock is managed on a level 2 hierarchy material basis.
0007 Stock is managed on a level 3 hierarchy material basis.
0008 Stock is managed on a material basis. Exceptions are possible.

In profile 0001, sales on material group level are still possible, as is the stock update linked with it to a value-only material. However, at a later stage the stock has to be cleaned up by transfer posting.
