Use

In this Customizing activity, you make the necessary settings for Zakat Levy Declaration in the format as required by law in Saudi Arabia. In addition to the calculation in a financial statement version, you can specify how to calculate each line of your financial statement.

Requirements

Standard settings

A financial statement version has been created for Saudi Arabia. This version is called RSA1, which is based on the INT chart of accounts.

Activities

  1. Specify the name of form structure (for example, RSA1) in accordance with the financial statement version.
  2. Choose Define Lines to create lines according to the Zakat Levy Declaration form.
    1. Note that if a line needs to be indented at the beginning, specify the number of offsetting characters.
    2. To specify whether the program reads a value from your FSV node, specify the line as a note or a FSV node value.
    3. For certain lines, enter a decimal number for multiplying a percent of the line value.
  3. If a line is to be calculated based on a formula containing several financial statement items, you enter the items by choosing Assign FSV Nodes.

Example

To deduct the cost of work from your total income, you create a line for the cost of work by choosing Define Lines. If, according to the law in your country, the debit balances for cost of work must be displayed as negative values, you can specify the minus sign in the Sign field of a line. Because the system, by default, sums the item values, you need to enter the actual financial statement item in view Assign FSV Nodes.

If the Zakat levy item is calculated by deducting a financial statement item from a second financial statement item of your financial statement version, you need to specify the minus sign in view Assign FSV Nodes for specific subtracted items.
