Use

In this Customizing activity you can choose between the three-step and the two-step process for Differential Invoicing.

  • Three-Step Process

    If you choose the value 1 (which consists of the transactions Provisional Invoice, Differential Invoice and Final Invoice), you can post the first invoice either straight off as a final invoice, or as a provisional invoice. You can post the second invoice as a final invoice or a differential invoice.

  • Two-Step Process

    If you choose the value 2 (which consists of the transactions Provisional Invoice/Differential Invoice and Final Invoice), the system combines the Prov. Invoice (Provisional Invoice) and Diff. Invoice (Differential Invoice) processes to create a single process: Prov. Invoice/Diff. Invoice (Provisional Invoice or Differential Invoice). You can post the first invoice either straight off as a final invoice, or as a provisional/differential invoice.
