Using a transaction, you can initiate posting changes for quants in the Warehouse Management system WM and directly in the Inventory Management system MM-IM.

You can set up the following posting change activities:

In this step, you define the posting change activities that can be executed in your system.

Example

First, you define a WM movement type in the table for WM movement types. You can do this by making a copy of the standard movement type 309. You then only need to change the description text.

If you have a posting change in the stock category, you define this through the stock category FRM / TO.

If you have a posting change of special stock, you define this through special stock FRM / TO.

The specification of the IM movement type is necessary for posting in the Inventory Management system.

Using the field for mail control, you can set the name of a person to be informed in case of error.

Not all possible posting change variants are supported for this processing type. Certain posting changes, for example, when the QM component is active, are posted first in Inventory Management and then in Warehouse Management using the posting change notice.
