You need authorizations for certain objects (asset class, and so on) that are processed at a given workplace. SAP defines these work-station oriented groupings of authorizations as authorization profiles.

Requirements

You must have maintained the authorizations according to the demands of your organizational structure.

Standard settings

SAP delivers the following standard profiles for Asset Accounting:

  • A_ALL Asset Accounting full authorization
  • A_PROFIL_00 Sample profile for Asset Accounting System Administrator
  • A_PROFIL_01 Sample profile for Asset Accountant
  • A_PROFIL_02 Sample profile for Asset Accounting clerk
  • A_PROFIL_03 Sample profile for buyer for Asset Accounting
  • A_PROFIL_04 Sample profile for Asset Accounting technician
  • A_PROFIL_05 Sample profile for warehouse clerk for Asset Accounting
  • F_ANLAGENSample profile for Asset Accountant from the point of view of Financial Accounting

You will find a complete description of these objects (for example, the fields that belong to them) in the online documentation for the individual authorization profiles.

Activities

  1. Adapt the standard profiles to your requirements.
  2. If you need additional profiles, define new profiles according to your requirements:
    1. Create a new profile.
    2. Assign the corresponding authorizations to the new profile.
    3. Activate the profile.

Further notes (Transport)

You transport profiles as follows:

  1. Display the profiles list.
  2. Choose "Profile - Transport".
  3. Select the profiles you wish to transport.
  4. Confirm your selections and enter the correction number.
