In this step, you can delete test application data (asset master records and transactions) for a company code. This might be necessary, for example, following a test takeover of old assets data.

Customizing settings are not deleted.

Caution

  • At present, you cannot reload the deleted data again.
  • If you are also using the IM (Investment Management) component, the assets under construction belonging to capital investment measures are also reset. This can lead to inconsistencies in relation to the orders/WBS elements, to which the assets under construction belong.

Requirements

  1. The company code you want to reset must be in test status.
  2. You must have entered the application data (asset master records and transactions) in the test installation.

Note

Keep in mind that Asset Accounting data is deleted in this processing step, but integrated applications (for example, Financial Accounting) are not affected. Therefore you should only carry out this step in conjunction with the other applications.

There is no problem with data that was transferred within the framework of the old assets data transaction (or the batch input interface), since the old data takeover transaction does not update the values in Financial Accounting.

Activity

  1. Set test status in the asset definition of the affected company code.
  2. Start the reset program for the affected company code.
