Document Class SIMG   Hypertext: Object Class - Class to which a document belongs.
Document Name SIMG_CFMENUOLSDVXTZ

In this IMG activity you maintain the

  1. locations to which the additional deadlines refer. This is to ensure that the deadline specification is unique worldwide.
  2. additional deadlines that you want to define as logical times (e.g. load start, shipment end). You can save the data directly in the application document data (inline time) or in the time segment tables. For example, in addition to the deadlines offered in the documents, you can also determine or change delivery or goods issue data.
  3. mapping of your inline times as additional deadlines for your inline events.
You should only execute these settings if you want to define inline times. You can leave these settings out for all other deadlines.
  4. additional durations that you want to define for your application. You can currently only specify the duration by determining two different times (start and end) within an event (see process step Maintain Events).
  5. event types for your additional deadlines. You determine whether an event type requires a time (planned or actual time, milestone indicator) or a duration (planned or actual duration) and whether the event type should be assigned more than once (multiple-use indicator).

Deadline and event definitions are not client-specific.

Activities

Execute these activities for all Customizing activities within this IMG activity. When assigning event groups to shipment types, you can only create the new shipment types in the corresponding IMG activity.

  1. Select New Entries to determine new entries for the additional deadlines or use Position to select an existing entry, change it and save the data.
  2. Enter the necessary data for new entries or select the appropriate entry from the input help.
  3. Save the data for your new entry.

Maintain Locations

  1. Under Location ZP specify a technical name for the logical location to which the additional deadline refers. In this way, the time specification you determine is unique worldwide.
  2. Specify an alternative name for the location that is displayed later in the input help. The technical name of the location does not appear. Specify this alternative name when assigning the location in later subsequent steps. You can change the alias name subsequently, if necessary.
  3. Select one of the project IDs that you defined previously, to assign your Customizing activity to a project.
  4. Specify a description for the location that appears later when you call the input help.
  5. If you do not need a location for a while, set the "inactive" indicator. You do not need to delete the data record.
  6. Open the folder Times and define the additional times that you want. These are then available in your application.

Maintain Times

  1. Under Log. time specify a technical name for the logical time that you would also like to define for your logistics process.
  2. Specify an alternative name for the time that is displayed later in the input help. The technical name of the time does not appear. Specify this alternative name when assigning the time in later subsequent steps. You can change the alias name subsequently, if necessary.
  3. Assign a location to your time by entering the alias for the location that you defined previously. As a result, the time is filled with data from the application document at runtime and the time has a unique definition worldwide.
    1. You can save your time independently of your application document in the time segment tables. To read the data from the time segment tables, set the indicator read time segment and the indicator write time segment to write the data into the time segment tables.
    2. You can directly link your time with the fields for date, time, time zone or time stamp (inline time). To read the data from your application document, set the read inline indicator and the write inline indicator to write the data into the application document.
  4. In the field Data Element Docu create a data element for the additional information on the event. If you later select the help function for your event in your application document, the documentation for this data element appears.
  5. Select one of the project IDs that you defined previously to assign your Customizing activity to a project.
  6. Specify a description for the time that appears later when you call the input help.
  7. If you do not need a time for a while, set the "Inactive" indicator. You do not need to delete the data record.
  8. Open the folder Time Mapping IL to define the assignment of fields for your online times.

Maintain Time Mapping IL

  1. Specify the alias of the logical inline time specified previously under Times for which mapping is necessary.
  2. Select a version type to assign a planned, actual or forecasting time to your application document data (date and time or time zone and time stamp).
  3. Specify the key for the application document to determine the assignment of the application document to the time segment tables.
  4. Link the fields date and time or time stamp and time zone from the header table of your application document with the corresponding fields of the segment tables of the inline time for the version type specified previously.
  5. Select one of the project IDs that you defined previously to assign your Customizing activity to a project.
  6. If you do not need the mapping for an inline time for a while, set the "Inactive" indicator. You do not need to delete the data record.
  7. Open the folder Events and maintain the event types for your additional deadlines. The function Maintain durations for defining durations is not currently supported (see IMG activity Maintain Durations).

Maintain Durations

The function for defining durations is not currently supported. In the IMG activity Maintain Events specify two times (start and end) to define a duration within your event.

Maintain Events

  1. Enter a technical name for the event type to group events.
  2. Specify an alternative name for the event type that is displayed later in the input help. The text for the event type is also displayed as a suggested description in the field of your application document. The technical name does not appear. Specify this alternative name when assigning the event type in later subsequent steps. You can change the alias name subsequently, if necessary.
  3. Specify the alias of the start of event (logical time) for your event defined under Times.
  4. Specify the alias of the end of event (logical time) for your event defined under Times.

To define times, specify the same logical time for the start and end.

  5. Do not select a duration, as the function Maintain Durations is not currently supported. Instead, specify two times (start and end) to define a duration within your event.
  6. In the field Data Element Docu create a data element for additional information on the event. If you later select the help function for your event in your application document, the documentation for this data element appears.
  7. Use the milestone indicator to differentiate between genuine durations (indicator not set) and individual times (indicator set).
  8. Set the multiple-use indicator to allow you to assign your event more than once from the input help within your process in your application document.
  9. Select a project ID to assign your Customizing activity to a project.
  10. Specify a description for the alias that appears later when you call the input help.
  11. Save your data.
