Use
In this IMG activity, you define the specialties that can be entered when maintaining organizational unit master data. In this way, you control that only specialties of a particular category can be entered.
Activities
The specialty categories are predefined in the system. You can list the specialty categories that exist in the IS-H System in the value help for the SC field.
Maintain the short text of the category in the Description field.
In the Keyword field, enter the keyword that identifies the input fields for the specialties in the maintenance transaction for organizational unit master data.
You can define the order in which these input fields are displayed using the Position field. When you are maintaining the master data of the organizational units, the system only displays those specialties whose category has been assigned a position number here.
Note
You can use up to 8 different specialty categories (position 1 - 8).
Note that the specialty category must be declared for all statistical evaluations you may wish to use. For instance, if you want to use parallel statistics for old and new BPflV (statistics mandated by the Federal Government in Germany) you need to have defined both specialty categories and assigned a position number to each.
Note Country Version Switzerland
Only the specialty categories 5 and 7 are taken into account for the creation of hospital statistics according to the Federal Office for Statistics (BfS).
Note Country Version Spain
The specialty categories 5 and 7 are used to create government-mandated statistics.
Note Country Version Singapore
For the standard processes of the country version only the specialty categories 5 and 7 are used. Additional customer-specific categories are only to be implemented when required.
