In this IMG activity, you define the keys and texts for specialties that the keys and texts of specialties with beds.
Use
Specialties are used for classifying organizational units (and physicians). You specify these specialty keys when you maintain those organizational units to which patients may be assigned on a departmental basis.
Activities
- Specify the category of the specialty in the SC field. The possible input values are listed in the value help.
- Enter the key and a short text.
- By flagging the I (intensive) checkbox, you stipulate that this is a specialty for intensive care. Intensive care specialties are subject to special evaluation in many statistics. For more information, refer to the F1 Help for the field.
Note Country Version Germany
The keys and text for the specialties for the Federal Regulation for Hospitals (BPflV), Statistical Regulatory Requirements (KHStatV) and Nursing Staff Regulation (PPR) are stipulated by the respective regulation.
Various evaluations of BPflV, KHStatV and PPR output figures according to specialty. Maintain the relevant catalogs for these specialty categories.
Note Country Version Switzerland
The keys and text for the specialties for BfS hospital statistics are stipulated by the respective regulation. You can import the specialties using the program RNWCHBI10. For more information about the interface, refer to the program documentation.
Note Country Version Singapore
Maintain the specialties for the internal categories 5 and 7. You can define subspecialties for the internal category 5. If you use subspecialties, set the corresponding indicator and maintain the higher-level specialty in the specialty hierarchy.
