In this step, you can reset the fiscal year that was last closed in Asset Accounting. This fiscal year is then open again for posting. You can limit the reset by company code, or to specific depreciation areas within a company code.
The precondition, however, is that the fiscal year is also reopened in Financial Accounting (FI General Ledger).
Recommendation
Normally you are not allowed to reopen a fiscal year after it was already closed for accouunting. Therefore, you should only use this function in test systems.
Activities
Open the last closed fiscal year.
