You only need this step if you have decided to use the direct data import method for asset data transfer.
In this step, you use a prepared customer enhancement project to define your own program checks for the asset data transfer using direct data import (no batch input).
Note
Enhancement projects function on the basis of certain positions in standard SAP programming code that have been prepared by SAP to allow the call of function modules programmed by the user to meet his/her specific requirements. Therefore, it is possible to implement enhancement projects only if you have knowledge of the ABAP/4 programming language.
Standard settings
Only simple program checks are provided for the direct data import in the standard system (such as, checks for the asset class, account determination, depreciation key, cost center).
Recommendation
You should review your needs carefully. Generally, you should not need to use enhancement projects, since all common requirements are already met by the standard system functions.
Activities
- Modify function module EXIT_RAALTD11_001 and the program included in it to your requirements.
- Activate a customer enhancement project (any key) with SAP enhancement ALTD0001.
