In this step, you can specify for the procurement of services whether you normally
- wish to work with or without the outline function (for the hierarchical structuring of service specifications)
- wish to have the screen with value limits displayed when initially invoking the services procurement functionality.
Standard settings
In the standard system, you always get a box asking you whether or not you wish to work with the outline function when you maintain services in purchasing documents.
The overview of service lines appears first; the user calls up the screen with value limits only if required.
Example
You always want to maintain services in purchase orders directly in the service overview - not with the outline function - because your service specifications are not particularly complex.
To achieve this, select the "Services" column for POs.
You will then not get a box with the above query. Instead, the system automatically skips the outline screen.
If you frequently work with purchase orders for unplanned services containing limits, the value limits screen can be displayed immediately.
Note
If you have decided that the outline function will generally not be used, the user will still be able to invoke it via the menu if necessary.
If you are working using the immediate display of value limits option, you can still maintain service lines at any time.
Furthermore, you can specify whether or not the screen with value limits is to be displayed immediately on a user-specific basis. To do so, you use the user parameter 'LIM'.
Actions
Specify whether you wish to work with or without the outline function and whether or not you wish to have the screen with value limits displayed immediately.
