Use
You use this Business Add-In (BAdI) in the Product Costs Controlling (CO-PC) component.
You can use this Business Add-In to reorganize the account assignment and determination of tool costs in CRM service processes. The system calculates tool costs by using an hourly rate.
The BAdI is called either to determine planned costs for a service process or to determine actual costs for a service confirmation. You can recognize which case applies from the value type that is transferred to the BAdI.
When calculating tool costs for service processes, an account assignment object is credited. To do this, you can specify different types of account assignment objects:
Cost center / activity type (default)
Cost center
Internal order
If a cost center/ activity type is credited by the allocation, the system executes an internal activity allocation for service confirmations. If a cost center or an internal order is credited, the system executes reposting to the service confirmations.
For account assignment to the cost center / activity type, tool costs are calculated by using the activity price. In this case, do not determine the rate and currency key in the BAdI.
For account assignment to the cost center or internal order, on the other hand, you must determine the rate and currency key in the BAdI.
Requirements
Standard settings
In default implementation, the BAdI is active and is used to determine a cost center / activity type. To do this, a Customizing table is used that contains as assignment criteria characteristics from the material master for production resources.
The Business Add-In is not filter-dependent and cannot be used more than once.
Activities
After you call the IMG activity, the system displays a dialog box where you enter a name for the implementation.
If implementations of this Business Add-In have already been created, the system displays them in a dialog box. You then choose one of them by choosing Create, and continue as follows:
- In the dialog box, enter a name for the implementation of the Add-In and choose Create.
The system displays the initial screen for creating Business Add-In implementations. - On this screen, enter a short description for your implementation in the Implementation Short Text field.
- If you choose the Interface tab, you will notice that the system has populated the Name of the Implementing Class field automatically, by assigning a class name based on the name of your implementation.
- Save your entries and assign the Add-In to a package.
- To edit a method, double-click its name.
- Enter your implementation code between the
method <Interface Name>~<Name of Method>.
andendmethod.
statements. - Save and activate your code. Navigate back to the Change Implementation screen.
Note: You can also create an implementation for an Add-In and not activate it until later. If you want to do this, do not perform the following step: - Choose Activate.
When the application program is executed, the code you created is run through.
