Diagnosis
The system is attempting to perform multi-level price determination for procurement alternative . You have specified that new prices that vary by more than % from the standard price should be listed in the log as an error. For the procurement alternative in question, the periodic unit price varies from the standard price in currency/valuation by %.
It is possible that the actual price differs so greatly from the standard price because the quantity of goods received in the procurement alternative is too small when compared to the quantity of input materials consumed. This occurs when a material is still regarded as work in process.
System Response
The system regards the procurement alternative as containing errors.
The system attempts to minimize the difference between the actual price and the standard price by using a reduced input quantity for the procurement alternative. Price determination is repeated with the smaller of the actual quantity and target quantity.
If the error occurs again, price determination is repeated with an input quantity of zero.
Procedure
Check the price determination document for the material. There you will see the quantity that was used to settle the material.
