Diagnosis
Billing (or billing simulation) is to be executed for the period from to . However, this is not possible because the contract is only allocated to the installation to be billed with the contract for the period from to .
Example
The error situation could arise as follows:
Periodic billing as of December 31, 1998 was prepared for the contract.
The periodic billing for 1998 is to be used to generate a budget billing plan for 1999.
Before the billing order is executed for the periodic billing, a move-out is entered for the contract for January 1, 1999.
Entering the move-out does not supress the billing order for the periodic billing, since it lies outside the interval period for suppression.
During billing, the billing order for the periodic billing is started first. In the process, the system attempts to extrapolate a budget billing extrapolation for 1999. This is not possible, however, because the move-out has already been entered for the contract, which means that the contract is no longer valid for the period February 1-December 31 1999.
System Response
Procedure
To correct the situation described above, you have the following options:
- If you do not want to perform periodic billing, you can delete the billing order for the periodic billing, and then start the billing order for the final billing.
- If you want to perform period billing first, and then the final billing, start the periodic billing before you enter the move-out. To do this, first reverse the move-out. Then start the billing order for the periodic billing, and then - lastly - enter the move-out again.
