Definition
Specifies the account assignment of the cost element.
Use
This indicator is only relevant if a goods movement has been generated automatically by another application (Shipping, Quality Management). It is used to control different account groupings for the same movement type, depending on whether the movement type has an account assignment.
If this indicator has been selected, the system reacts as follows:
- If no account assignment exists, the system searches for the account grouping without a consumption indicator.
- If an account assignment exists, the system searches for the account grouping with a consumption indicator.
- If an account assignment exists and the indicator is set to N, the system searches for the account grouping without a consumption indicator.
- If there is a goods movement for an SD delivery note, the system always searches for the account grouping with the consumption indicator, provided the account assignment fields are populated and the indicator is not set to N.
Example
Goods can be posted to scrap in Quality Management either with or without account assignment. We therefore recommend that you set the cost element account indicator for movement type 331:
- If the posting to scrap is without account assignment, a non-costing- relevant account is found with the account grouping VQP in the standard system.
- If the posting to scrap is with account assignment, a costing-relevant account is found with the account grouping VQY in the standard system.
