Definition

Specifies that the system should calculate depreciation after the planned useful life has expired, using the percentage rate resulting from the effective expired useful life (in complete years).

Use

You can only set this indicator if the indicator "depreciation after the end of the planned useful life" is set, and if the "percentage from useful life" depreciation method is used.

Example

The planned useful life of an asset is 10 years. The asset is depreciated beyond the 10th year. The indicator is set, with the following results:

  • Up to an including the 10th year, the depreciation percentage rate is 1/10 (10%).
  • In year 11, the depreciation percentage rate is 1/11.
  • In year 12, the depreciation percentage rate is 1/12, and so on.

If the indicator were not set, the depreciation percentage rate would remain 1/10 (10%) even beyond the 10th year.
