Definition
Makes it possible in Asset Accounting to maintain fiscal year variants at the depreciation area level that are different from those in General Ledger Accounting.
Use
If you set this indicator, then the system behaves as described below.
- The posting of depreciation takes place for each ledger group.
For the depreciation run (on the SAP Easy Access screen under Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> Fixed Assets -> Periodic Processing -> Depreciation Run -> Execute, transaction
AFAB), you have to enter a ledger group.(If you have entered different fiscal year variants in the ledgers, you can exactly define the period for the depreciation per ledger group.)
- In Customizing for Asset Accounting, you can specify the differing fiscal year variants for each depreciation area under Specify Other Versions on Depreciation Area Level. We recommend that you choose the fiscal year variant of the representative ledger from the assigned ledger group.
