Definition
The checking period is used for the goods receipt posting in Inventory Management to determine how many days in the future the system checks for missing parts. In the checking period, an e-mail is sent from Inventory Management to the MRP controller stating that a goods receipt was carried out for a missing part.
The recipient of this e-mail can be set in Customizing under Define missing parts MRP controller
Use
The value entered iniates the workflow. The MRP controller only receives an e-mail for a missing part if a checking period is entered.
Maintain the checking period for the Inventory Management checking rule only, since it has no effect on other checking rules.
Dependencies
The workflow is only executed if you have set the check with replenishment lead time.
