Definition
Number or name which can be used for a number of physical inventory documents which have been combined for easier handling.
If the individual physical inventory documents for a physical inventory transaction are to be processed together, the physical inventory number can be used as an additional selection criterion when accessing the various processing lists.
Use
The field is relevant for bothe POS - interface outbound processing and POS - interface inbound processing.
In outbound processing, the physical inventory number is copied from the field in the physical inventory header, if this field is filled.
In inbound processing, the field is only evaluated if count data for materials is received for which there are no active physical inventory document items. In this case, the system can generate a physical inventory document automatically. The Physical Inventory Number field in the document header then contains the same value as the Physical Inventory Number field in the IDoc.
