Definition
The location in which deliveries are processed. It can be a physical location (for example, a warehouse or a group of loading ramps) or a logical grouping (for example, a group of people who are responsible for shipping activities).

When delivery processing, the shipping point is the most important criterion for selecting deliveries. You can only transport a delivery from a shipping point. You can specify the shipping point more precisely by specifying a loading point (for example, a certain loading ramp).
Example
If you want to send deep frozen goods to a customer by rail, for example, the system proposes a shipping point that has a works siding and the necessary equipment for loading deep frozen goods on to railroad cars.
Procedure
The system can default a shipping point. If there are predefined alternative input values in your system, you can change the shipping point manually.
