Definition
The material quantity for the document item with units of measurement.
Use
The field is mandatory and should contain a quantity greater than 0.
Example 1 (Purchase order)
- The purchase order quantity 10 is transferred.
- The unit of measurement is a piece. If this is the correct order unit for the material, a purchase order is updated with quantity 10. If the piece is an alternative unit of measure, it is converted correspondingly.
- If the quantity is missing, a workflow for subsequently processing the order item is initiated.
