Definition
Indicates that the archiving program is started in test mode only.
Use
In test mode, no changes are made in the archive or the database as no archive file is generated and the deletion program is not triggered. The deletion program indicator can therefore be ignored here. In the test run, just as in a normal archiving run, statistics are created for the archiving data that has been entered; you can display these if you have set the log generation flag.
You can use the archiving statistics together with the program flow parameters to plan a "real" archiving job.
