Definition
Identifies the department in which the contact person works (such as the purchasing or accounting department).
Use
When the physical inventory documents are transferred from head office to the store, the department number is sent if the material is assigned to a layout in a department and if an option was selected on transfer resulting in the information on the layout being transferred.
At inbound processing of the count data from the store this field has no significance.
