Documentation
Definition
Version-specific entry for a measuring point on an object (example: kilometer reading for a vehicle). When you save, an appropriate CS measurement document is created for this measuring point. The measurement document is copied to the document flow for the warranty claim.
Use
The measurement reading is required for the warranty check, in other words, for the check that analyzes whether a warranty still exists for the object.
Dependencies
The measurement reading that you enter here refers to the measuring point of the object that was determined via the first measurement position of the reference object. The reference object is an object that has been entered in Customizing and that serves as a copy template when creating a warranty object (equipment, vehicle or functional location).
The measurement reading does not change with following measurement documents at the same measurng point since it serves to document the history. It is linked directly to the version.
Note: you can enter more than one measurement reading for the version. You have a special tab page at your disposal for this (screen S2350 and S2355). You have to link this tab page into a screen layout in Customizing; you than have to assign the screen layout to the appropriate warranty claim types in Customizing.
