Definition
Number which the reimburser or claim processor, for example the sales employee of a vehicle importer, assigns to the claimant, for example a car dealer.
Use
The claimant is authorized to make a warranty claim with this number for an object that no longer has a warranty (authorized period of grace).
If a legal or contractual warranty still exists for the object, no authorization is required.
