Examples
You are required to prepare a report for 5 January to 4 April, and you are required to provide subtotals for each month. In this field, you enter Monthly. The system breaks the reporting period down into three subperiods as follows:
Subperiod From To
1 5 January 4 February
2 5 February 4 March
3 5 March 4 April
Note that the subperiods run from the 5th of one month to the 4th of the next: These system calculates these dates from the first day of the report, 5 January.
In the output list, the system assigns each item a subperiod number, 1, 2, or 3, which you can then use to create the subtotals for each month.
