Definition
The Payer Name Control can be obtained only from the mail label on the Package 1099 that is mailed to most payers each December. If a Package 1099 hat not been received or the Payer Name Control is unknown, this field must be blank filled. A dash (-) and an ampersand (&) are the only acceptable special characters.
