Definition

Enables fuzzy searching, a SES feature for finding strings that are similar - but not identical to - the full-text search term entered.

Use

You can set this feature in your personal settings for the Enhanced Material Search function. If left blank, the value defaults to whatever was maintained in Customizing using Materials Management -> General Settings for Materials Management -> Enhanced Material Search -> Configure and Activate Enhanced Material Search with Creation.

When using the Fuzzy Search field directly on the search screen, it simply defines whether or not the next search request will be performed using fault tolerance.
