Definition

A maintenance group consolidates a set of field groups together in the material master under a common name. You can define a maintenance group to be cross-application or application-specific.

Use

You can use maintenance groups to:

• create higher-level field groups that define which fields will be used and displayed in the individual applications
• flexibly define the fields displayed for editing when processing the core material master data and in the integrated mass change function
• define the output fields in the material list and the material monitor

You can create one or more templates for a maintenance group. You use a template to define default data, such as in the initial screen and for Retail Fashion creation status when processing the core material master data .
