Documentation
Definition
Specifies an access to an external catalog:
- TREX index indicates the catalog search will be done against the WSD_CAT index using the selected search engine. This works with the "Search Engine Service" and "SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search" search engines.
- Access via user exit indicates the catalog search will be done using a customer-specific user exit while bypassing the search engine for catalog searches. The material search in the Enhanced Material Search function is still performed using the selected search engine.
Use
Dependencies
You have implemented and activated the appropriate BAdI:
- BADI_WSD_CATALOG_TREX for the TREX search engine
- BADI_WSD_CATALOG for a customer-specific user exit
