Definition
The validity period is a number of weeks starting at the start-date of a listing period of the material/plant combination.
Use
The validity period is used to determine the valid-to date of the reference assignment during the automatic assignment of references.
When you create a reference assignment manually via dialog program, the valid-to date is determined and suggested by the system as well. You have the possibility to overwrite the valid-to date here.
