Definition
The description text is used to describe an IDoc segment in a user-friendly way. It is used for SAP List Viewer (ALV) headers, in the tree navigation, and the context navigation menu. If no text is specified, IDoc segment descriptions and technical descriptions are used instead. It is recommended to specify texts here, because the IDoc segment descriptions can be longer than is allowed for ALV headers, and so may be cut off. The text length in a context menu is so small that the technical segment name is always used if no text is specified here.
