Definition
Indicates that a material group reference material must be created for a material group.
Use
If this indicator is set and the material group in question has not yet been assigned a reference material, the system will issue a warning message when you attempt to specify this material group in material master maintenance.
A material group reference material simplifies the entry process greatly if many of the materials in a material group need to be created with similar data.
In SAP Retail, this material is a global data retention level in many business processes.
