Definition
The arrangement calendar defines the end of the validity period of rebate arrangements and controls their extension.
The validity period end date is simultaneously the date for final settlement (for rebate arrangements with a settlement calendar) or the date for settlement (for rebate arrangements without a settlement calendar).
Use
Rebate arrangements with an arrangement calendar represent longer-term rebate arrangements that may be valid for several calendar years or indefinitely.
Such rebate arrangements are initially created in the system for a shorter period, say the current calendar or fiscal year. Before the validity period expires and before the first document is entered in the next period, the rebate arrangement must be extended (see note).
A new rebate arrangement with an adjusted validity period is created. The start date is the day following the end date of the rebate arrangement that is to be extended. The new end date is determined from the arrangement calendar (next marked day). The conditions are adopted from the old rebate arrangement (validity periods are likewise adjusted).
A longer-term rebate arrangement is thus represented in the system by a series of separate arrangements (e.g. one arrangement per calendar or fiscal year). The preceding or succeeding arrangements can be accessed from within each individual rebate arrangement.
Note
Extension of rebate arrangements:
- For rebate arrangements in Purchasing: Report RWMBON05
- For rebate arrangements (agreements) in Sales: Report RV15C005
You will also find the function in the relevant application menu. Perform the function in good time before the first document is created in the new period. You can schedule the report to run in the background.
