Definition
The plant determination field indicates whether the handling unit's packaging material copies the plant from the first item that is packed in this handling unit, or whether the delivering plant is copied from the material master during shipping processing.
If you select the option "Plant is determined from plant where first item was packed" for the packaging material category "Auxiliary packing materials", then the plant is copied from the handling unit.
Plant determination, together with item category determination, controls the generation of delivery items within delivery processing.
