Definition

Indicates when follow-on documents are generated for a plant. The following options exist:

• Generation immediately

  You generate before the goods are received in the distribution center.

• Generation after goods receipt posting

  You wait until the goods receipt has been posted in the distribution center and the allocation table has been adjusted.

Use

This is only of importance if the goods are supplied from an external vendor to the plants via the distribution center.

Waiting until you generate follow-on documents for transferring stock (warehouse orders or deliveries) until the goods have been received in the distribution center and the allocation table has been adjusted ensures that the follow-on documents contain the quantities actually delivered.
