Documentation
Definition
Processing procedure used by the system to create documents.
Use
You have the following options:
- Manual processing (F)
This method can be used in stores and in headquarters to procure and distribute perishables. The options available to you for manual processing give you the greatest scope for controlling the whole process. - Push processing (A)
This method is designed for use in the head office. It is based on the use of allocation tables to distribute the total quantity ordered among the stores. You can have the system automatically determine the quantity each recipient is to receive by using allocation rules. You can also have the system propose the quantities which you can then check or change before posting. - Pull processing (S)
This method is designed for use in the head office. It uses existing store orders to determine the order quantities and then converts the store orders to collective purchase orders.
Dependencies
In the case of both pull and push processies, follow-on functions such as cross-docking and flow-through are possible.
