Definition

Specifies the minimum life which is allowed for a bill of exchange with which an outgoing payment is made.

Use

The life specified here is added to the posting date of the payment run. Invoices which are due before the date resulting from it cannot be paid by bill of exchange. Another payment method (for example, check or bank transfer) is used.

The life is only relevant if bills of exchange were already created before the due date of the invoices. This procedure is common in France, Italy, and Spain.
