Use

This proportional factor is needed when data is copied from the Sales Information System (SIS). In SIS, planning values are assigned to a material number; in Sales and Operations Planning (SOP), material numbers are assigned to plants.

If SIS data is brought over into SOP, the proportional factor determines the proportion of a material, expressed as a percentage, to be produced in a particular plant.
