Documentation
Definition
Indicator that determines the procedure for price activation as part of the market-basket price calculation function in Pricing.
Use
The following options are available:
- Price activation at plant level
The sales prices for the selected plants and materials are generally stored at plant level.
You can use reference plants for calculations to enable you to perform a single calculation for different plants, or to improve performance in market-basket price calculations.
- Price activation at price list level
A check is performed for each material to see if price activation at price list level is possible. If this is not possible, price activation is performed at plant level.
- Site price lists must be a permitted pricing level for the distribution chain of the selected plants.
- A price list must be assigned to the material group of the relevant material in the material group view of the plant master.
- For every price list found, the system checks whether other, unselected plants exist where the price list has been assigned to that material in that material group.
- This should not be the case, as price activation at price list level could also affect plants that have not been selected.
- Price activation at distribution chain level
The sales prices are activated at the level of the distribution chain selected.
As all the plants of a distribution chain should be handled the same way, entering explicit plants will trigger an error message.
Dependencies
If the indicator for price activation at price list or distribution chain level has been set, any other entries concerning reference plants for sales price calculations are ignored.
You may not select any plants for price activation at distribution chain level.
