Key date for the initial price in sales price calculation, which forms the basis for a percentage or absolute price change.
Use
The key date is used in sales price calculation in connection with the sales price determination types 'D' and 'E'. This involves determining the sales price for the key date given, which serves as a reference value (initial price) for the price change.
Dependencies
If you do not enter a key date explicitly in dialog processing (transaction VKP1 or VKP5), or if no key date is given when the sales price calculation is called externally, the start date of the validity period given for the sales price calculation is used as a default.
For seasonal materials, the first valid sales price within the season period is determined if you have not set the 'Use Key Date Also for Seasonal Articles' indicator explicitly.
