Definition

Indicator controlling how the processing method used in the distribution center is determined.

The processing method controls how merchandise flows in a DC (see also merchandise distribution) and affects storage location determination.

You can specify the processing method to be used (e.g. cross-docking, flow-through, putaway) or have the system determine it automatically from the conditions.

If you want to have the system determine the processing method automatically, you must configure the distribution profile in the plant master and in the material master accordingly.
