Documentation
Definition
ISO code for the unit of measure in which the physical inventory count is entered.
Use
During inbound processing of the count data, the unit of entry is converted into the base unit of measure of the material if the unit of entry is assigned to the material. A counting item for the EAN is not required in this field, because the EAN specifies the unit of measure.
When downloading the physical inventory documents, the unit of entry defaulted by the system is transferred into this field.
System Response
When uploading the count data the field may be empty. If the field is empty, the system then uses the base unit of measure of the material as a unit of entry.

Dependencies
The possible units of measure for a material are defined in the material master record maintenance.
Maintain the units of measure with the corresponding ISO codes in Customizing under check units of measure .
