Definition
The calculation method specifies whether 30 days or the actual number of days of the corresponding month are used for calculating the whole month on a proportionate basis.
Only the value for the first / last period is taken into account if this is shorter (less than a full month) and this period should be calculated on a proportionate basis.
If the calculation method is not entered, the system calculates on the basis of 30 days per month.
Example
Lease period: 02/15/95 - 12/15/95
Basic rent: 1000 USD
Proportionate: 0 (Always proportionate)
Calculation method: 1 (30 days per month)
In this case rent amounting to 533.33 USD (16/30 of 1000) is determined for February, 1000 USD rent for March to November and 500 USD (15/30 of 1000) rent for December.
If you use calculation method 2 (exactly to the day) instead, rent is determined for February amounting to 500 USD (14/28 of 1000) and a rent of 483.87 USD (15/31 of 1000) for December.
If you change the proportion indicator, the rent is 1000 DM each time, independently of the calculation method for the non-proportionate periods.
